Abhishek Bachchan is gearing up for the release of Shoojit Sircar’s highly anticipated film, I Want To Talk. The movie delves into the life of Arjun, a man with a disability who remains undeterred by the challenges life throws his way. Recently, Abhishek shared a deeply personal story that influenced his portrayal of Arjun’s resilient spirit.
The actor recounted an instance involving his daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan, from her early childhood. Aaradhya was reading a children’s book that contained a profound line about courage. The book described the word “help” as the bravest word in the world. Explaining the impact of that thought, Abhishek said, “That means you are not ready to give up. I will do whatever it takes to carry on.”
Abhishek linked this sentiment to his character, Arjun, in I Want To Talk. “He is not afraid to ask for help. He is not afraid to go into the hospital. He is not giving up,” he shared during a media interaction.

He elaborated on how Arjun’s unwavering resolve to face life’s challenges inspired him. “Somebody who has dealt with the things that he has dealt with and continues to deal with, it’s very easy to be fed up after 31 odd years and say, ‘bahut ho gaya hai, abhi aur nahi karna hai’ (I’ve had enough, I don’t want to go on). But no, the fact that he is still at it, still trying… is what makes him truly courageous,” Abhishek explained.

The film, directed by Shoojit Sircar and produced by Ronnie Lahiri under Rising Sun Films, promises to be a poignant exploration of resilience and hope. I Want To Talk features a talented ensemble cast, including Johnny Lever and Ahilya Bamroo, and is set to release in theatres on November 22.
