Mohammed Siraj continued to face hostility from the crowds in Australia as he was booed at the Gabba on Saturday when he came on to bowl in the third Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy.
Siraj’s aggressive show during two separate incidents in the pink-ball Test at Adelaide made him a villain for the Australian fans, who jeered him on multiple occasions during the second match of the five-Test series.
Siraj threw the ball at the stumps after Marnus Labuschagne pulled out at the last second as a man walked past the sight-screen carrying a huge pile of beer mugs, and later gave centurion Travis Head a send-off after dismissing him.

Siraj and Head were both penalised for their ugly face-off. The Indian pacer was fined 20% of his match fees and Head was reprimanded. Besides that, the duo received one demerit point each in their disciplinary records.
On Saturday, a section of the crowd at the Gabba tried to rattle the Indian pacer once again by booing him as he ran in to bowl the second over of the day.
With the series level at 1-1, India won the toss at the Gabba on Saturday and decided to bowl first in overcast and rainy conditions.

The morning session saw two rain delays, with Australia reaching 28 for 0 in 13.2 overs when rain stopped play for the second time, forcing lunch to be taken.
India made two changes to their playing eleven for the third Test, bringing in Akash Deep and Ravindra Jadeja for Harshit Rana and Ravichandran Ashwin, respectively.
