How IPL accelerated auction works?
Before the auction, the BCCI wrote the franchises, explaining the accelerated process.
“For your planning purposes please note, subject to timings it is envisaged that the accelerated process will start after player No. 116. The first accelerated process will cover all the players from 117-574 (577). Franchises will be asked to nominate a set number of players from this group by 10 pm on the evening of November 24,” the Indian cricket board said in its communication.
The players (117 to 577) nominated by the franchise will then be presented by the auctioneer.
Once that is done, the franchise will once again be asked to nominate their choice of names from among the unpresented and unsold players for the second round of the accelerated process.
