NEW DELHI: India pacer Mohammed Siraj responded to the ICC‘s penalty over his send-off gesture to Australian batter Travis Head, during the pink-ball Test in Adelaide, with a composed statement while digressing from the burning issue.
According to a report in Sydney Morning Herald, pace duo Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah did not participate in Tuesday’s morning practice session in Adelaide, with only four days remaining before the Brisbane Test at the Gabba.

How can India still qualify for World Test Championship final?

During the team’s batting and bowling practice at the nets, Siraj was questioned about his response to the penalty, which amounts to approximately AUD 16,500 or Rs 8,95,340.
Replying to the question, Siraj said, “Yeah man, it’s all good.”
When asked further whether he was upset by it, the Indian pacer said, “I am going to the gym now.”
The incident took place on Day 2 after Head’s dismissal by Siraj’s yorker, which ended his match-winning innings of 140 runs from 141 deliveries. There was a heated send-off from the Indian bowler after the dismissal.
Head and Siraj offered contrasting accounts of their encounter during Day 2. Head maintained that he complimented Siraj with “well bowled” after his dismissal. However, Siraj disputed this version, stating that Head made no such remark and telling a lie about the exchange.
