NEW DELHI: With Jeddah set to host the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 Mega Auction on November 24 and 25, 2024, the trophy made its appearance in the Saudi Arabia city.
The official handle of the cash-rich league shared a video on the official X handle of the trophy being taken through the roads of Jeddah and placed on important landmarks in the city.
The esteemed Abady Al-Johar Arena in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, will host the IPL 2025 Mega Auction.

This is a significant milestone in the IPL’s ongoing global expansion.
Out of the 1,574 players who registered, 577 will be included in the auction. Of them, 208 are international cricket players, including three from associate countries, and 366 are Indian players.
In addition, 318 uncapped Indian players and 12 uncapped foreign players are featured in the event, giving teams’ access to a combination of established international talents and up-and-coming talent.
70 of the 204 spots available to teams are reserved for players from abroad.
81 players have positioned themselves in the elite category, with the maximum reserve price set at Rs 2 crore.
As teams prepare for the 2025 season, viewers can anticipate a highly planned bidding process as squads are expected to undergo considerable overhauls.
