Owing to his talent, charming personality, and captivating looks, BTS member Jin enjoys a loyal and huge fan base. Now that he has already established himself in the field of K-pop music, his fans can only wonder if or when Jin will make his acting debut.
Jin’s fellow band member V made his acting debut with ‘Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth,’ and thus, the ARMY now has high expectations from their idol to do an action stint soon. Also, it is worth noting that Jin studied acting in college. He confessed to having dreams of becoming an actor earlier in his life, but now the plans have changed.
During the Leemujin Service, Jin shared that he wished to become an actor but since his parents wanted him to complete university first, he did the same. Back then the world of acting attracted him a lot; however, with time he became an idol and understood his passion for music.
Now he says he is happy as a singer and many aspects of acting that seemed captivating to him earlier, he was able to explore after becoming an idol. Thus when asked if he would like to relive his past dream of acting, the singer replied, “Not at all. One of the reasons I wanted to be an actor was the variety of experiences I thought it would entail. But as an idol, I was able to live through all those, so that dream is now forgotten.”
With Jin saying no to acting, the fans are not so happy about it. Nevertheless, his music is something that will keep them hooked. Talking about his music, Jin recalled the time he came as a guest performer for a Coldplay gig. He recalled how the family members of the group were there to support Coldplay and it moved his heart. Jin confessed he wants to play music like Coldplay does, like a family.
“I want to be on stage when I’m 50,” shared Jin when asked about where he sees himself a decade or more from now.
