‘Singham Again‘ starring Ajay Devgn in the lead, experienced slight growth at the box office on day 19 of its release. The film which began its third Monday on a low Rs 1. 15 crore collection, saw its overall numbers increase to an estimated Rs 1.35 crore nett on Tuesday.
According to early estimates on sacnilk.com, the Rohit Shetty directorial now has a total week 3 collection of Rs 12.85 crore nett. This is a significant drop in numbers for the Diwali release. The cop-action film began its box office run on a high, earning an estimated Rs 173 crore nett in its first week. This was followed by a collection of Rs 47.5 crore on week two.
The third instalment in the ‘Singham’ franchise saw its collections take a significant dip in its third weekend, earning just around Rs 2.75 crore on Friday, Rs 3.35 crore on Saturday and Rs 4.25 crore on Sunday. Monday’s sharp decline followed by Tuesday’s minimal growth, brought the total estimated earnings to Rs 233.35 crore.
The film still managed to outperform ‘The Sabarmati Report‘ which earned an estimated Rs 1.25 crore on its first Tuesday at the box office. The film that enjoyed being in the lead for two weeks, was beaten this past weekend by Kartik Aaryan’s ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3‘. The horror comedy is now in the lead with an estimated Rs 235 crore in its kitty.
However, it must be noted that ‘Singham Again’ reportedly has a significantly larger budget of Rs 350 crore. It remains to be seen how much the film can rake in before the end of its box office run.
