SJP drops two more firms from poorly performing £9.4bn fund

St James’s Place (SJP) has removed Artisan and Sands Capital from its £9.4bn Global Quality fund, after Impax was dropped from the same strategy last month.

The three asset managers are being replaced by US-based ACR Alpine Capital Research and London-based Independent Franchise Partners. They will join remaining firms Ninety One, JO Hambro and Select Equity Group as managers on the fund.

A letter to shareholders, seen by Citywire, said that the two incoming managers would be ‘responsible for a larger portion of the fund’ than was previously run by the outgoing firms.
